Laser Treatment Update | Radiation Tattoo Removal

As some of you may know, I’m in the process of getting my radiation tattoos removed. I absolutely hate the reminder and I want them gone for my wedding. I have 6 tattoos total and I think they are very noticeable.

The procedure is a bit painful since each spot needs to be zapped 3-5 times. The lighter the tattoo, the less treatment is needed. For a few days after my treatment, I’m very red and need to apply Vaseline. The tattoos on my sides hurt the most and are the biggest. The ink is very deep. The whole process is quick and takes 15 minutes.

It’s also a state law in Massachusetts that laser treatment for the removal of radiation tattoos is covered by insurance.

I’ve had two treatments so far and I’d love to share my results with you.

Before my first treatment

After my first treatment

Two treatments (after, before)

After two treatments

My cosmetic dermatologist is very happy with my results and the small tattoos are almost gone!

Have you had your radiation tattoos removed? Let me know how it went for you!

Stay smiling,

Monique
